Abstract
Waste ponds of PT Aek Tarum contains more compounds dangerous over. How to tissue damage the gill of fish that live in these waste ponds. The purpose of this research was conducted to find out the condition of gill tissue fish from an waste ponds of PT Aek Tarum. The samples were collected from Februari to April 2015. This type of research is experimental data obtained in the study were analyzed with descriptive qualitative method. All samples were prepared for histological observation using paraffin method and Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE) stain. Gill tissue of fish suffered some damage, namely congestion, distal clubbing, edema, hyperplasia, loss of secondary lamella structure for fusion lamella and cell necrosis. And finally, Damage condition of gill tissue fish from the pond palm oil mill effluent of PT aek tarum influenced by the content of the waste water.
