Abstract

Each teaching and learning process always produces learning outcomes, it can be said that the learning result is the end or the peak of the learning process. The end of this activity is the benchmark of the success rate of learners in the learning process. One of the learning models that can be applied by teachers in improving learning outcomes is cooperative learning model of arisan card type. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type of Arisan Card on the learning outcomes of cognitive in the subject of Biology class VIII MTs Nurul Falah Palembang. Learning arisan card is a model of cooperative learning that can motivate learners to actively propose ideas that lead to an effective atmosphere in learning so that learners will increase learning outcomes. The research method used in this research is a quasi experiment with the design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Population in this study all students of class VIII which amounted to 123 students. Sampling is used by purposive sampling technique. In the learning process, the experimental class uses cooperative model of Arisan Card type and control class with discussion and question and answer method. In the learning process, the experimental class is treated in the form of cooperative learning model of arisan card type and control class is treated in the form of discussion and question and answer method. Data retrieval using learning result test in the form of multiple choice questions that have been tested the validity and reliability. The result of t-test calculation of cognitive learning achievement resulted in sig. 0.000 < 0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The average gain of the experimental class is 0.66 which is of medium category and the average N-gain for control class is 0.57 which is in the medium category. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the model of cooperative learning type Card Arisan influential on the learning outcomes of cognitive in the subject of Biology class VIII MTs Nurul Falah Palembang.
