Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Quantum Teaching learning model to the motivation to learn mathematics of the eighth grade students at MTs Nurul Falah Palembang. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population taken in this study were all the VIIIth grade students at MTs Nurul Falah Palembang on academic years of 2017/2018 which is divided into four classes. This research took one classes as the sample of the study by using Purposive Sampling technique which is VIII.3 grade. The collection of data are done by using observation, questionnaires, and interviews. For the result of the observation sheet of the implementation of Quantum Teaching learning model, the average result is 96%. For the result of questionnaire of students learning motivation get the average score of result is 82,06%. For the observation sheet of students learning motivation, the average score is 80%. From the results of interviews can be concluded that students are motivated in learning mathematics after applied Quantum Teaching learning model. Based on the results of the above analysis, it can be concluded that by applying of Quantum Teaching learning model can make motivated students in learning mathematics at MTs Nurul Falah Palembang
