Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Cooperative learning model of STAD type on learning outcomes of 7th grade student in SMA Negeri 2 Lais. Variables in this study is Cooperative learning model of STAD type as independent variables and learning outcomes as the dependent variable, the sample research was class of Xl Ipa1 as the experimental class and class of Xl IPA3 the control class. The method used in this study in the experimental method, while the data collection techniques are used tests and observation. Tests used to measure student learning outcomes, while observations are used to measure the activity of student during the learning takes place. The data analysis of test was using hypothesis test and observation data were descriptively. Based on the results of this study concluded that there was an effect of Cooperative learning model of STAD type to learning outcomes go student on biology lesson in class of Xl at SMA Negeri 2 Lais. This can be seen in the average value of the experimental class that was 83.61 is greater than the control class that was 77.33, where ttest = 3.39 > ttable = 2.00 with ∝= 5%. Similarly, from the observation that showed 66.58% of students included in good categories. Keyword : STAD (StudentTeamAchievementDivision), Learning Outcome
