Abstract
This research aims to know the different types of Ordo Hymenoptera species and to determine the role of it in the rubber plantation aged 1.5 years, 10 years, and 20 years in Banyuasin Regency. The Field sampling had been conducted over three weeks from April 27th April to 31 th May 2013. It is continued with insect identification in Biology Laboratory of Tarbiah IAIN Raden Fatah Palembang from June 12th to July 5 th 2013. The insects that are chosen by using the sweep net, pitfall trap, yellow pan, and Light traps. The insects as the sample for research have been caught in the morning, afternoon and evening. Through this study, it has been founded several species in rubber trees aged 1.5 years, the total amount of individuals are 58 individuals of 9 species, rubber plant aged 10-year-old there are 112 individuals of 9 species, the rubber trees aged 20 years old there are 61 individuals from 9 species. All species were classified into 4 groups according to their morphological characteristics, namely: predators, pests, parasitoid, and pollinators. Family Formicidae acting as predators are from the species of Odontoponera transverse, Pachycondyla striata, Oecophylla smaragdina, Anoplolepis custodiens, Anoplolepis gracilipes, Hymenoptera insect order which turn into pest are originally from the family of Formicidae Meranoplus mayri. Exetastes tarsalis , Sceliphron caementarium, and Prosevania fuscipes acts as parasites, and the last Apis mellifera plays a part in pollination.
