Abstract
The main problem of the study dealt with Is there any means of significant difference on students’ reading comprehension average scores taught using “everyone is a teacher here” and conventional strategies. The objectives of this study is to find out whether there is a means significant difference on student’s reading comprehension average scores taught using “Everyone is a Teacher Here” and conventional strategy. The method used in this study was Quasi Experimental method. The population of this study was taken from the seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Pemulutan Selatan. To analyze the data, the writer used data descriptions (distributions of frequency data and descriptive statistics), prerequisite analysis (normality analysis and homogeneity analysis) and independent sample t-test. The mean of students’ pre-test score of the experimental group was 65.83, in the control group was 63.08. the means of students post-test score of the experimental group was 79.50, in the control group was 71. The result of testing hypotheses in measuring a means significant difference from Students’ post-test scores in control and experimental group using independent sample t-test, it was found that the p-output 0.00. When the p-output was lower than means significant difference at the level 0.05. It means that the use of strategy Everyone is a teacher here was effective in teaching reading comprehension to the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pemulutan Selatan. Keywords: “everyone is a teacher here”
