Abstract
The college library is one type of library that quickly responds to implement the results of the development of information technology. An institution certainly produces many works of academic community, the works must be collected, processed and preserved digitally by libraries called Institutional Repository (IRs). The works are managed and conserved to be published so that the intellectual property of an institution is accessible to all circles. The conclusion of this research indicates that the management of Institutional Repository (IRs) In Sriwijaya Indralaya University is divided into 2 namely in UPT Library and at UPT-TIK Sriwijaya Indralaya University. At UPT Library Collection Institutional Repository (IRs) is managed thesis, thesis and dissertation while in UPT-ICT collection that is managed is a journal produced by all lecturers at Sriwijaya University Indralaya. The software used in the management of Repository at UPT Sriwijaya University Library is SLIMS AKASIA (Senayan Library Manangement System) version 8 and for UPT-ICT using Eprints. In the management of Institutional Repository (IRs) many things must be prepared both in terms of infrastructure such as server computers, internet and other networks to be supplemented as well as from human resources and support from institutional leaders. The obstacles faced in the management of Institutional Repository (IRs) at Sriwijaya University Indralaya include the lack of human resources who are experts in the field in terms of management of Repository, then there is no specific policy in the management of Institutional Repository (IRs) both in the UPT Library and UPT-ICT so that in the management of IRs is not efficient.
