Abstract
Picture books is a book that aligns the story with pictures. These two elements work together to produce stories with illustrations of images. Usually picture books to push toward appreciation and love of books. In addition to verbal stories must interesting, the book should contain images that affect the interest of students to read the story. This research uses the formula of product moment correlation and simple linear regression. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the variable availability of the book collection has a positive and significant effect on the interest of reading in the library of Cinta Baca Palembang. this is shows from the value of thitung = 21.35> ttable = 1.998 which means there is a significant influence between completed the picture book collection to the interest of reading children in the library of Cinta Baca Palembang. so the results of the analysis shows that the more complete the picture book collection the higher the reading interest of children. and if the less complete a picture book collection then the lower the interest of reading the child.
