Abstract
This study discusses the Optimism of Working on Thesis During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period for Final Year Students of the Department of Islamic Counseling, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang with Study using qualitative methods with descriptive types. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation.While the data analysis with data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of the study showed that the five subjects had an attitude of optimism in working on their thesis even in the conditions of the covid 19 pandemic by utilizing technology and having confidence that they would complete the thesis diligently and work hard in doing the thesis. In addition, several factors that play a role in generating an attitude of optimism appear in the five subjects. Judging from the religiosity of the subject, the support that the subject gets from his family and closest people, and the important role of the Advisory Lecturer and the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang which has provided a way for students to continue to carry out the thesis guidance process during the covid-19 pandemic.
