Abstract
Aspergillus brunneoviolaceus partial is a fungus that is often used for antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial and others. This fungus is often obtained from plant isolation, one of which is Syzygium aqueum, then tested on many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, one of which is Shigella dysenteriae. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the ethyl acetate extract of the fungus Aspergillus brunneoviolaceus partial on Shigella dysenteriae bacteria, then to determine the maximum concentration of the extract on bacterial growth, and to be able to contribute to Eubacteria class X SMA material. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with experimental research using 3 repetitions of 4 treatments, and ciprofloxacin as a positive control. Calculation analysis using one way ANOVA test and Duncan test. The results showed that there was an effect of ethyl acetate extract of the fungus Aspergillus brunneoviolaceus partial on Shigella dysenteriae bacteria, with a maximum concentration of 125 ppm with an average inhibition zone diameter of 9.76 mm. The Duncan test shows that the difference is very significant. The contribution given is in the form of a puzzle that can be used as a learning medium in schools with a material validator value of 85.71%, language validator 87.5%, and media validator 89.28%. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is antibacterial activity on the growth of Shigella dysenteriae bacteria with a concentration of 125 ppm as the maximum inhibitory concentration. The contribution given in the form of a puzzle is categorized as suitable for use.
