Abstract
Inventory is the activity of collecting data and compiling as well as facts about theresources to be used and identification is a system of finding and recognizing the various taxonomic characteristics of individuals and entering them into the taxonomic system. Medicinal plants have been used by the Indonesian people for a long time as spices used to treat various health problems they face. The study aims to determine the types of medicinal plants, the parts of medicinal plants, the efficacy of medicinal plants, the source of obtaining medicinal plants, and take medicinal plants in kedondong raye village, banyuasin district III. Data collection was carried out by survey and interview methods. Data collection is done by random sampling technique. The results showed that there were 77 species of plants from 41 families that were used by the community in the Kedondong Raye Village, Banyuasin District III. The utilization of medicinal plants is carried out in 6 ways, namely boiled, smeared, consumed directly, rubbed, and squeezed. The plant organs used consisted of 10 plant parts, namely leaves, seeds, fruit, stems, flowers, sap, tubers, rhizomes, herbs, and roots. The efficacy of medicinal plants species to cure disease consists of 32 types of diseases. The source of obtaining medicinal plants is done in 2 ways, namely cultivation and searching in nature. The harvesting of plant organs is carried out in 3 ways, namely picking, pulling and pruning. Key Word: Inventory, identification, medicinal plants, Banyuasin District III
