Abstract

This study discusses the selection of tourist objects in the city of Palembang using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The city of Palembang is currently experiencing fairly rapid development and has great tourism potential, therefore visitors find it difficult to decide which tourism to visit. Thus, a decision support system can help simplify the decision-making process to choose tourist attractions quickly and accurately. The SAW method is a method that can be used in the decision-making process. This study aims to implement and perform calculations using the SAW method, so as to simplify the decision-making process quickly and accurately, and make it easier to determine the location of tourism to be visited. There are five criteria used in the selection of tourist objects in this study, namely entrance fee (C1), distance from the city center (C2), crowd level (C3), facilities (C4) and festival organization (C5). This research produces a system that can provide tourist attraction recommendations with a simple interface. Based on the results of calculations using the SAW method, the Kuto Besak Fort (A1) tourist attraction is an alternative that has the highest value among other tourist objects with a value of 0.75.
