Abstract
This study discusses the adjustment of veiled women who are salaf in Km 6.5 Palembang city by using qualitative methods with descriptive types. The number of subjects in this study were 2 women selected by purposive sampling technique. This study aims to find out how self-adjustment and what aspects affect the adjustment of veiled women who practice salaf in Km 6.5 Palembang city. Data collection methods used in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. then data analysis with data reduction, data display and conclusion/verification. The results of the study showed that the two subjects experienced several things that made the subject adapt to the surrounding community, the influence of the subject's decision to use the veil initially got negative sentiments from the family and the community around the place of residence and family. However, because the subject is able to position themselves well and behave well in the community so that community and family acceptance becomes better. The positive impact of applying the Salaf Manhaj that is felt by the subject is a sense of security and responsibility towards oneself as well as changes in the way of speaking and placing oneself by prioritizing religious guidance compared to the habits previously carried out by the subject.
