Abstract

This study discusses user satisfaction with the optimization of service delivery provided by the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service. The purpose of this study was to identify the visitor satisfaction index to the services managed by the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service through a Community Index (IKM) survey, to find out the most dominant element in meeting each user's satisfaction, and to find out the obstacles in providing optimal services to the public Library Service. South Sumatera Province. This study uses a quantitative type of research with the Community Index (IKM) analysis method based on the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia (PERMENPAN) Number 14 of 2017. The data collection techniques in this study were observation and filling out a questionnaire by 377 samples, namely visitors to the Office of the Republic of Indonesia. South Sumatra Provincial Library which has been determined randomly. The results of the data that have been entered in the tabulation and analysis form by calculating the data using the community satisfaction index formulas based on the 2017 PERMENPAN. The results of the study show that in general user satisfaction with the services provided by the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service is based on the assessment of the Community Satisfaction Index ( IKM) which has produced a score of 80.77 with the service quality category "B" and the service unit performance category "GOOD". From the results of these calculations, there is the highest dominant value element in meeting the level of user satisfaction, namely the 7th element of implementing behavior with a value of 3.36. Then, the obstacle to creating visitor satisfaction with services at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service in providing optimal public services to visitors does not lie in the staff and librarians of the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service in providing services. However, because of the obstacles felt by users, not all users have a good understanding of library operational standards. In general, they assume that library services are unsatisfactory if their needs cannot be served optimally, for example, the references they asked for were not found.
