Abstract
This study aims to determine how self-acceptance as a mother who has a child with autism in SLB-B Negeri Pembina Palembang is. The type of research used is a qualitative research using a descriptive design with two subjects specifically mothers who have autistic children, where the subjects are 31-38 years old. The technique used in this research is non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that both subjects have an awareness of the shortcomings and strengths of themselves and others, in accordance with the determination that these deficiencies can have a better impact which leads to positive self-acceptance, the subject is willing to accept the shortcomings that they and their children have. with a lot of gratitude and patience in facing life's trials, their selfacceptance is quite accepting because they all realize that this is all the destiny of Allah SWT. Allah SWT gives trials in human life to see if the human can accept the test patiently, including one of them by accepting the shortcomings in himself and in others.
