Abstract

This study discusses the hardiness of a widow (single mother) of course the various causes of divorce in Plaju District make some people decide to become a widow. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of hardiness and to find out the hardiness of a widow herself. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the two subjects have hardiness because they get family support, are able to interact in the environment, have a strong personality, besides that both subjects choose to work and do positive things in order to become a hardiness widow.
