Abstract
This study aims to determine and understand the meaning of love for homosexual (gay) early adult men. This research is a type of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, which is carried out to understand social situations related to an event. The subjects in this study were 3 people as the main subject and 2 people as informants, using the purposive sampling technique. The collection method is Observation, Interview and Documentation. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the three subjects were able to find the true meaning of love in different ways, namely finding the meaning of "happiness" in love, being given attention, being appreciated. The process of finding the meaning of love for the three subjects was traversed by the three subjects starting from the failure of marriage, trauma in love, and experiencing sexual violence, the three subjects were able to go through these events until they finally came to the point where the three subjects found the true meaning of love that the subject had never felt before. and the discovery of the meaning of love the subject gets when undergoing a same-sex relationship, from a same-sex relationship the three subjects are able to face the risks that will come, and the subject feels enthusiastic in living this life.
