Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out students’ perceptions on the use of Google Classroom in writing activities at SMAN 1 Unggulan Muara Enim. This study used a qualitative research design with a case study with six participants taken by using the purposeful sampling, maximum variation method. In collecting data, the researcher used interviews through open-ended questions, the data were analyzed by using the thematic analysis technique. The interview sessions were recorded and transcribed. The findings showed that there were two advantages of students' perceptions on the use of Google Classroom in writing activities , they are (a) Google Classroom was practical and simple to use, (b) There was vocabulary improvement by using Google Classroom, and two disadvantages of students' perceptions on the use of Google Classroom in writing activities, they are (c) Using Google Classroom in writing class did not result in any grammatical improvements, and (d) problems due to poor internet connection Keywords: Google Classroom, Students’ perceptions, writing activities
