Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out the teacher’s perceptions on the use of Quipper School application in teaching reading. To explain the teacher’s perceptions, the researcher used a qualitative design which a case study also used in this study. For collecting the data, the researcher used a semi-structured interview. There was only one participant that was chosen as a participant by using purposeful sampling in this study. The participant was a teacher of English at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Palembang. Thematic analysis was used to find the description of the data. The researcher found some advantages they were; (1) sophisticated application, (2) saving time, (3) students’ motivation and ability in learning were increased. The researcher also found some disadvantages of using Quipper School, they were; (1) internet connection become the problem and (2) the learning process was less effective. Researcher concluded that by using Quipper school, they were some advantages and disadvantages in teaching reading.
