Abstract
The main purpose of the study were to empirically investigate the possible correlation and the influence between students’ attitude towards English and their English Achievement at SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. The population of this research was the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Palmbang with total number of 446 students. There were only 113 students involved as sample in this research taken by using cluster random sampling, the method used in this study was a correlational research. The data were collected by using the attitude questionnaire to measure students’ attitude towards English and English Achievement test. The data were analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient. The results showed that there was no significant correlation between students’ attitude towards English and their English Achievement with r-obtained (0.022) was lower than r-table (.0361). The study could have implications for English teachers, students, and other researchers. Key words: Attitude, English Achievement
