Abstract
Waqf is part of the Islamic religion, which is in religious society category (ijtima’iyah). Along with the Islamic history, waqf is as the important mean in improving the religion development. Based on the data within society; generally, waqf in Indonesia is applicated to mosque, mushalla, school, boarding school, orphan house, and cemetery. It is seldom that waqf land is carried out productively in the firm which the result is used to the one who need, especially the poor one. The use of the waqf in social – sight, especially for the religious interest is effective, but on the other hand, the consequence of waqf itself is not influencing much positive in social life economical. If the use of waqf is limited such above only without balancing to the productively waqf execution. Thus the social life welfare which is expected from the waqf institusional. Will not be able to realized optimally.
