Abstract

The second pillar of Islam is prayer, one of the legitimate requirements of prayer is facing the Qibla direction. For people in Mecca and surrounding areas, such orders do not become a problem because they can easily carry out these orders, but for people who are far from Mecca the problems arise naturally. Qibla direction which deviates only a few degrees, it will result in significantly deviating from the direction of the Qibla which should be right towards Mecca (Ka'bah) to the other direction which is not Mecca (Ka'bah). This certainly will reduce the stability in carrying out worship, especially the belief in the validity or failure of the prayers done. Our preliminary observations regarding the direction of Qibla at the Istiqlal Mosque in Ibul Besar III Village. The transmission of this ilir ilir experienced. a degree of deviation when tested with Ordinary Compass, therefore the researchers were interested in examining how the Qibla Direction Determination at Istiqlal Mosque Ibul Besar III Village, Pemulutan District , Ogan Ilir Regency? what is the accuracy of the mosque direction of Masjid Istiqlal in Ibul Besar III Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir District.
