Abstract
This study raises the issue of English loanwords in the Translation Book of Juz Amma Bebaso Palembang. The purposes of this study are to describe: (1) the largenumber of English language vocabularies in the Translation Book of Juz AmmaBebaso Palembang, (2) the form of the use of English language words in Palembang Translation Book Juz Amma, (3) similarities and differences in the absorption ofEnglish words with what is in the Translation Book of Juz Amma Bebaso Palembang.The form of research is qualitative descriptive. The data analysis technique uses theintralingual equivalent method. The results of this study concluded: (1) Englishlanguage absorption words found in the Grammar Book and Dictionary of BasoPelembang, (2) the analysis was carried out in the form of the use of English languageabsorption in Palembang Translation Book Juz Amma, (3) there are similarities anddifferences in the use of English loanwords in the Translation Book of Juz AmmaBebaso Palembang.
