Abstract
This study aims to determine the pattern of waqf management of the Muhammadiyah Persyarikatan Palembang City, after the enactment of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 41 of 2004 concerning Waqf and the strategies implemented by the Muhammadiyah Association of Palembang City in increasing the benefits of waqf for welfare. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data was collected by means of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that the waqf assets managed by Muhammadiyah Palembang City in the form of land and buildings which are generally used for educational facilities, worship facilities, health facilities and social facilities. The pattern of waqf management carried out by Muhammadiyah in Palembang City is to combine waqf assets with non-waqf assets as an inseparable unit. With this pattern, waqf assets develop and can provide benefits for the welfare of the community, especially in the education, worship and health sectors.
