Abstract
This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive type of research that described the teacher's role in classroom management in English teaching at MTs Al-Hidayah Muara Telang Banyuasin. The participants of this study were two teachers using the total sampling technique. Data was collected using the interview with 14 questions. To analyze the data by using thematic analysis. These findings reveal that the teacher's roles in classroom management in English teaching activity are a motivator, a facilitator, a manager, and as a educator. It can be said that the teacher's role in classroom management was very important. Teachers have been able to apply their role in the learning process, but the role of teachers in classroom management still needs to be improved, so that student learning outcomes and goals can be achieved.
