Abstract
This research has the theme “Relevance of Abuddin Nata's Thoughts on the Teacher's Perspective of the Al-Quran with the Views of Contemporary Mufassir”. In the educational process, the teacher plays an important role in helping teaching and learning activities so that the learning process runs smoothly. This research is motivated by Abuddin Nata's view of various teacher terms based on verses of the Koran and their relevance to the views of contemporary mufassir. The purpose of this study is to reveal Abuddin Nata's thoughts about teachers from the perspective of the Koran and the relevance of his thoughts to the views of contemporary mufassir. This research is a qualitative descriptive analytical research using the maudhu'i method. The theoretical conclusions in this discussion reveal that Abuddin Nata's thoughts about teachers in the perspective of the Koran contain various terms for teachers based on verses of the Koran, which include ulama, al-rasikhuna fi al-ilm, ahl-dzikr, al-murabbi, al-muzakki, Ulul Albab, al-muwa'idz, and al-mudarris. As for Abuddin Nata's thoughts about teachers in the perspective of the Koran, it can be identified that his thoughts are relevant to the views of contemporary mufassir, namely relevant to the views of Al-Maraghi (the book of interpretations of al-Maraghi), Sayyid Qutb (interpretation of Fii Zhilalil Qur'an), Buya Hamka (interpretation of al-Azhar), and M. Quraish Shihab (interpretation of al-Misbah).
