Abstract

Abstract This research is entitled "Position of Final Tahiyat in Hadith Perspective". Sitting tahiyat is one of the movements in prayer and consists of two forms, namely, sitting iftirasyi and sitting tawauk. At the practical level, people practice this sitting tahiyyat differently, especially when praying for the people who are masbuq and praying two cycles of prayer. This phenomenon arises because there are hadiths that allude to this issue and are understood differently by the scholars. Departing from the polemic that arose around this problem, the author conducted research with the formulation of the problem how to sit in the final tahiyat according to the Prophet's hadith. This type of research is library research and is qualitative with an analytical descriptive approach. The results of research on these hadiths show that sitting in the last tahiyat, in the sunnah prayers of two rak'ahs and the prayer of the masbuq consists of sitting iftirasyi in the second rak'ah, then sitting tawaruq in the last cycle. This rule does not apply to people who are elderly and they may do so according to the conditions at that time. However, the hadith also explains that a person may carry it out in a different way, i.e. remain iftirasyi even at the end of tahiyat. The permissibility of practicing these two forms is supported by Imam Nawawi who stated that scholars differ, which one is more important, not which one is more correct. Keywords: Iftirasyi, Tawaruk, Last Tahiyat
