Abstract
ABSTRACT This thesis is entitled The History of the Riba Verses and Theological Sociological Implications (Study of Text and Context Analysis of Makkiyah and Madaniyah Verses). This research is motivated by differences in the responses of Makkiyah and Madaniyah verses to the prohibition and of usury during the Jahiliyah era. The word usury is recorded as appearing 7 times several letters prohibiting and prohibiting usury through the Qur'an because usury becomes a variety of economic practices that exist society and a negative effect. Riba was used by some people in Arab cities during the Jahiliyya period. Because riba jahiliyah is transaction with a contract. This type of research is a library research. The primary data source from the Al-Quran while the secondary data source from commentary books such as Tafsir al-Azhar, al�Misbah, books, journals. Data collection techniques are searching, collecting from various accurate documents. The analysis technique descriptive analysis, with the thematic interpretation method (maudu'i) by taking riba verses. The conclusions obtained First, based the history verses seen from the division of makkiyah and madaniyah, makkiyah gives meaning that economic practice that oppresses society and must be avoided eliminated. Whereas the Madaniyah verses provide meaning (social solutions) for people trapped in practices building monotheistic economic practices and prosperous. Second, the theological implication form moral movement "happy when giving" by building the principle that hand is better the hand below. As well sociological implications form of social responsibility "happy when helping" by building the principles fairness in prosperity and prosperity in justice.
