Abstract
ABSTRACT This research is aimed at exploring the factors influencing differences in student behavior and how the ethics of students' behavior at SMAN 3 Banyuasin III are viewed from David Hume's perspective. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed, and data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the formation of students' ethics is influenced by factors such as education, family, social environment, media, technology, religion, and peer influence. Students' perspectives on positive and negative behavior in school reflect a profound understanding of ethics and human behavior, aligning with Hume's perspective. They demonstrate self-awareness and a willingness to practice positive ethical behavior, in line with Hume's theory on the influence of emotions, social norms, habits, and the environment in shaping human ethical behavior.
