Abstract
ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the tradition of going to the sea in Kuala Sugihan Village. viewed from the aspect of Islamic faith. This type of research is field research. The type of data used is qualitative because it will analyze how the tradition of going down to the sea is carried out in Kuala Sugihan Village and how Islamic beliefs are viewed. Primary data sources in this research were obtained from observations and interviews with informants. All of this data will be analyzed using descriptive analysis. The informants in this research were village heads, religious leaders, village officials, and the people of Kuala Sugihan Village. Secondary data sources were obtained through literature, in the form of books, journals and articles related to the research object. The findings show that the people of Kuala Sugihan Village view this tradition as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT who has bestowed sustenance on fishermen. As well as providing safety while working.
