Abstract

ABSTRACT Name : Varin Gusti Andini Program : Islamic Psychology Tittle : The Relationship Between Spiritual Intelligence and Conformity of Students in Class XII of SMA Negeri 3 Pagar Alam This research is entitled ‘The Relationship Between Spiritual Intelligence and Conformity of Class XII Students of SMA Negeri 3 Pagar Alam City’. This study aims to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and conformity of students in class XII of SMA Negeri 3 Pagar Alam City. This research method is quantitative correlation. The subjects of this study were XII grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Pagar Alam City as many as 131 samples with the sampling technique referring to the Isaac and Michael table. Sampling in this study using probability sampling with cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used were the spiritual intelligence scale based on aspects of Zohar and Marshall by Suparmi et al., (2023) and the Conformity Scale based on aspects of Sears et al., (1991) by Priwidianti (2019). Data analysis using product moment correlation with the help of the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 26 for windows application. The results of hypothesis testing are r = 0.454 and a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), so there is a negative relationship between spiritual intelligence and conformity of class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Pagar Alam City. Based on the results of the study that showed a negative relationship between spiritual intelligence and conformity, schools need to develop a spiritual intelligence strengthening programme as a strategic intervention to reduce negative conformity in students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan spiritual dan konformitas siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 3 Kota Pagar Alam. Metode penelitian ini kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 3 Kota Pagar Alam sebanyak 131 sampel dengan teknik penentuan sampel mengacu pada tabel Isaac dan Michael. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kecerdasan spiritual berdasarakan aspek Zohar dan Marshall oleh Suparmi et al., (2023) dan Skala Konformitas berdasarkan apek dari Sears et al., (1991) oleh Priwidianti (2019). Analisis data menggunakan correlation product moment dengan bantuan aplikasi Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) versi 26 for windows. Hasil uji hipotesis sebesar r=-0,454 dan nilai signifikansi 0.000 (p<0,05) maka terdapat hubungan yang bersifat negatif antara kecerdasan spiritual dan konformitas siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 3 Kota Pagar Alam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan hubungan negatif antara kecerdasan spiritual dan konformitas, pihak sekolah perlu mengembangkan program penguatan kecerdasan spiritual sebagai intervensi strategis untuk mengurangi konformitas negatif pada siswa.
