Abstract

Mangrove (Sonneratia caseolaris) as a source of bioactive compounds with antioxidant and antibacterial activity. This compound can be found in various types of plants, one of which is the mangrove plant (Sonneratia caseolaris). Endophytic fungi have the same secondary metabolite compounds as their hosts so they can be used as new medicinal compounds. This research aims to determine the antioxidant, antibacterial and secondary metabolite compounds in the endophytic fungus of mangrove bark (Sonneratia caseolaris). The sample used was the bark of the stem. This research used the DPPH method with varying concentrations of 1000 ppm, 500 ppm, 250 ppm, 125 ppm, 62.5 ppm, 31.25 ppm, and 15,625 ppm, with ascorbic acid as a positive control. Meanwhile, the disc diffusion method is antibacterial. The results of the research showed that the results of the identification of endophytic fungi in mangrove bark obtained 5 isolates of endophytic fungi, with 4 different species, Thichoderma sp, Aspergillus sp, Sclerotium sp, Papulaspora sp. The strongest antioxidant test results were obtained in the KBR2 code with an IC50 value of 12,058 µg/ml. The antibacterial activity of endophytic fungal extracts is strongest on E.coli bacteria, namely the fungus Aspergillus sp. And the class of compounds found in the extract of endophytic fungi from mangrove bark (Sonneratia caseolaris) in the phytochemical test are phenolic compounds.
