Abstract
The aims of this study were to find out what are the types and category of teacher’s written feedback. The participants of this study were the eleventh grade students of SMK Nurul Iman Palembang. Case study method was used in this study. In order to find out the student’s responses towards teacher’s written feedback, the data gained from observation and interview were analysed by using thematic anlaysis. The findings indicated that there were two types of teacher’s feedback namely, direct and indirect feedback and surface level category of feedback. There were also three students responses:1) students found out their writing mistake; 2)student’s writing ability was improved; 3) students had difficulties in finding out their mistakes.
