Abstract
One effort to improve the quality of education is to improve the learning process, the learning process is basically the process of interaction or mutual relations between teachers and students in the educational situation. Observations researchers at SMA 'Aisyiyah 1 Palembang with subject teachers of Biology, the average in each class X almost 50% of students whose value is below the value of minimum completeness criteria (KKM) is 75. This study was conducted to determine the effect of using learning model example nonexample on learning outcomes Biology students of class X in the material kingdom monera in SMA 'Aisyiyah 1 Palembang. This type of research is quantitative research-experimental control group design with pre-test-post-test. The population is students of class X with a sample by random sampling (random) amounting to two classes of class X IPA1 (experimental class) and class X IPA3 (control group). Data collection techniques to test (about pretest and post-test). Analysis of the data used is normality test, homogeneity test and t-test (hypothesis). The results of t-test post-test data test showed no effects of the use of non-teaching model example a significant example of the Biology student learning outcomes, it is seen from the t-test value of t = 4.50> table = 1.99 Meanwhile, the results the t-test on the data pretest for biology student learning results obtained by value t = 1.09 <table = 1.99 which means there is no significant influence on the results of the model example nonexample student studying Biology. Test post-test results showed that the use of learning model example nonexample effect on learning outcomes Biology class X students in the experimental class in high school 'Aisyiyah 1 Palembang.
