Abstract

One of among features of Dakwah as an activity lies in its flexibility, yet in any situation and place it continue to exist while not losing its identity. It is because its foundational basis is not in doubt, namely Alquran and Hadis. In the might of variety of culture, religion and system of human belief, dakwah keep prevalent and plays its role significantly. It is in this context of sociology of religion is crucial to play role in accompanying the implementation of dakwah, especially in mapping the objects or targets of dakwah which are getting complex and complicated. The key agents of dakwah such as preacher (da'i) as well as the dakwah organisations are demanded to have sufficient insight regarding the contemporary development, including, the sociology of religion.
