Abstract
Life ethics in rural communities with regard to aspects of cosmology in the natural life. This can be seen in a variety of expressions, customs and traditions, which is then manifested in various aspects of life. Semende community, an ethnic community residing in the highlands of South Sumatra, showed her attachment to the side of ethics and religion are so strong, they showed that religiosity containing ethical values are useful to maintain the order of life together. The area of anti-corruption, can be observed on the philosophy of Semende people, so it can be used as a reference, that the ethnic communities in Indonesia actually has the ethical values that are rooted in local knowledge. This philosophy is the values that the community believed Semende ie, Jeme Gerot. The literal meaning of "great man", which has a main prerequisite, ngagoki anak lanang betine (married sons or daughters), ngiloki ghumah (home repair), and ncukupi rukun (pillars replenish / pilgrimage). This also applies to the provision that, besindat (polite child and peer), besundi (respect for parents), besingkuh (shame on the lot). The principles are loadedwithreligiousmeaningandanti–corruptionspirit,particularly the concept of besingkuh. The use and understanding of the meaning of people's lives Semende make arrangements remain intact, and this is reinforced by custom order Tunggu Tubang. Strong sense of shame is believed to be the foundation for implementing anti-corruption activities. The shame is rooted in the concept of public religiosity that sees that Semende area is a unified, whole and influenced by eachother.
