Abstract
BSTRACT This aim of study is to know wether there is the impact of problem based learning models to the ability of students mathematical problem solving abilities at MTs Ahliyah 1 Palembang.This research was experimental and design used Postest�Only Control. The sample this study was the whole students in IXA grade totaling 26 students as the experimental class and IXB grade totaling 26 students as control class. Sampling was done using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument was given in the form of a test with the type of description as many as 4 questions. The data analysis used was test-t to significant degree = 0,05, gained = 11,957 and = 2,008 which meant > which was 11,957 > 2,008 so reject and accepted. The result of this study showed that there is the influence of problem based learning models to the ability of students mathematical problem solving abilities at MTs Ahliyah 1 Palembang.
