Abstract
The title of this research was “The Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in English Classroom (A Case Study at MTs Darussolihin Banyuasin)”. This study aimed at finding out how the 2013 curriculum was implemented in English classroom and finding out the problems encountered by the English teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at MTs Darussolihin Banyuasin. The design of this study was qualitative research in the form of a case study design. This study was conducted at MTs Darrussolihin with two English teachers. In order to find the answer of research problem in this study, the researcher utilized one-on-one interviews through open-ended questions to collect the data about them implementation of the 2013 curriculum and the problems encountered by the English teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at MTs Darussolihin Banyuasin . in the data analysis, the thematic analysis in the form of coding system was used to find out how the 2013 curriculum implemented in English classroom and to find out the problems encountered by the English teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at MTs Darussolihin Banyuasin which indicated that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in English Classroom at MTs Darussolihin Banyuasin has been based on the components of the 2013 Curriculum implementation and the problems encountered by the English teachers in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum at MTs Darussolihin Banyuasin consisted of five problems namely (a) limited internet connection, (b) lack of suppoting facilities, (c) the students’ insufficient learning motivation and knowledge, (d) the students comprehending difficulty, and (e) the students learning activeness.
