Abstract
This study aimed to develop computer-based algebra learning media for students in SMP/MTs which valid and practical. The type of this study is Development Research with two stages, which are preliminary stage and prototyping stage using formative evaluation consists of self evaluation, expert review and one-to-one, small group, and field test. The data were collected by walkthrough, questioner, and interview. The subjects of this study were two classes of the 7th grade students in MTs Bahrul Ulum with a total of 24 students. The result of this study is computer-based algebra learning media which developed are valid and practical. Validity is obtained based on the validation results at the expert review stage. The validator states that it is qualitatively valid in terms of content, construct, and language, and quantitatively the average obtained from the validator's assessment is 4.23. Practicality can be seen from the results of student response questionnaires and interviews at the one-to-one, small group, and field test stages.
