Abstract

Ashabul Kahfi Lubuklinggau orphanage is a foundation that accommodates foster children from poor families or orphaned, orphaned, and orphaned families, the majority who live in Ashabul Kahfi orphanage are children. Children who are growing into adults need a safe atmosphere. A sense of safety is a basic need of every individual. The need for safety is a person's desire or desire to get protection and a sense of security and freedom from all perceived threats. Children get a sense of safety when they are connected in the family, a sense of safety in the environment is one of the prerequisites for the smooth development of children. Children who live in orphanages certainly have a different sense of safety, there are children who feel that the role of orphanage caregivers can take over from the role of their parents, but there are also children who feel the opposite. The purpose of this study was to determine how the description of the needs of children's sense of safety living in the Ashabul Kahfi Lubuklinggau orphanage and the factors that can cause the unfulfillment of children's need for security in the Ashabul kahfi orphanage. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The subject studied was a childern who had lived in the orphanage for at least 2 years. The results of this study indicate that the problems in the need for safety experienced by childern in an orphanage have difficulty in releasing emotions, difficulty in venting complaints, the subject is also difficult to feel and create a warm environment for him.
