Abstract
This research is entitled "Stress Coping Among Korean Drama Enthusiast Students in Palembang City". This study aims to describe the coping strategies employed by Korean drama enthusiast students in Palembang, particularly in dealing with academic and social pressures during their active college years. Students in semesters 3 to 7 are in a transitional phase that demands emotional maturity and strong self-management skills. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that students adopt various coping strategies based on their individual personalities and preferences. Some participants prefer watching Korean dramas—especially those in the romance or slice-of -life genres—as an emotional outlet for stress relief. Others combine this with activities such as socializing, exercising, or engaging in productive tasks. The genre preferences reflect the students' psychological states and personalities, indicating that Korean dram as serve not only as entertainment but also as tools for emotional regulation and sources of inspiration. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of student psychology within the context of popular culture and may serve as a reference for futur e research on similar topics from different perspectives.
