Abstract
Teachers always face challenges in their teaching tasks, especially in teaching deaf students. The aim of this study is to find out teachers challenges in teaching English vocabulary for deaf students. The participants of this study were teachers at SLB-B Pembina Palembang by using typical sampling. This study a case study design. Interview was used to collect data of the study. The interview was administered to 2 teachers of English at SLB-B Pembina Palembang. The data obtained from the interview were analyzed by using thematic analysis. The result of the study showed that the teacher found difficulties in adjusting material, and in terms of the students’ lack of vocabulary. . Keywords: Deaf students, teaching English vocabulary, special school.
