Abstract
This study discussed the antioxidant activity of Uli banana peel extract (Musa x Paradisiaca L.AAB) by maceration using n-hexane and ethanol then fractionated with ethyl acetate and aquades as the solvents. The phytochemical screening proved that Uli banana peel extract contained flavonoid and tannin compounds. The antioxidant activity was measured by using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry with DPPH method (2-2,diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and the IC50 (Inhibitory Concentration) test parameter. This, the results showed that the antioxidant activity with IC50 of 114.86 g/mL which was classified as moderate antioxidant intensity.
