Abstract
This study aims to discuss self-concept in blind adolescents in PRPCN Palembang. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to provide an overview of what is being studied, understand the phenomena experienced by the research subjects holistically in the form of words and language. The subjects in this study amounted to 2 people, namely students of SMP SLB A PRPCN Palembang city. Based on the results of this study that self-concept is an important thing in the development of individuals in behavior. Self-concept is used as an impression of oneself as a whole which includes an opinion of oneself or an image of oneself in the eyes of others. The self-concept process itself consists of knowledge, expectations, and self-assessment. The conclusion of this study is that the subject has developed in his self-concept. Therefore, self-concept does not develop by itself, but develops with interactions with other individuals and the social environment. The factors that support the development of self-concept and other factors that hinder the development of self-concept
