Abstract

This study examined Strategy to develop ready interest in building direct education in the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the development strategy usedby the Cinta Baca Library to realize education for society in the modern era. The researchmethod used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Researchers interviewed three library staff at library of Cinta Baca Palembang. The research analysis method used in this study was the Miles and Huberman technique called the interactive model. The results of the study indicated that the strategy for developing the Cinta Baca Palembang library has been running as it should be, such as starting from the way of promotion that is done manually and also taking advantage of the sophistication of social media. Seeing the services provided to visitors with a work system that has been regulated according to the provisions, the Cinta Baca Palembang library is very disciplined and adheres to the librarian's code of ethics. In conclusion The Cinta Baca library in Palembang has a development strategy and takesa role according to its portion to build education directly in the community. The existenceof the Cinta Baca Palembang library is recognized, as evidenced by the awards it has received. Keywords: Strategy, development, Building education
