Abstract
This study aims to discuss the contradiction between the hadits that explain the place for the funeral prayer. This research is a collection of literature by using qualitative data analysis.The results of the discussion concluded that the funeral prayer may be performed in the mosque or outside the mosque, such as home, and others,as a form of convenience for the people in worship. This finding is based on the use of tanawwu 'fil ibadahanalysis carried out in resolving conflicts in these traditions. This study recommends to all parties to promote tolerance in responding to differences in worship considering that these differences are a form of diversity and each has arguments (dalil)as the basis for the practice.
