Abstract
This study discusses the practice of reading the Koran that was born from communal practices that show the social perception of society or certain groups of the Quran. The formulation of the problem is how the meaning of shalawat in QS. Al-Ahzab verse 56 and how is the realization of reading the maulid simtud duror in Qs. Al-Ahzab verse 56 at the Ar Riyadh Islamic Boarding School 13 Ulu Palembang. The purpose of this study was to determine how the understanding of teachers and students as well as the community in the Pesantren Ar Riyadh Palembang environment towards QS. Al-Ahzab 56 and to find out how to practice reading simtud duror with QS. Al-Ahzab verse 56 at the Ar-Riyah Islamic Boarding School 13 Ulu Palembang.This research is a type of field research that uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources of this research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data are teachers and students at Pondok Pesantren Ar Riyadh 13 Ulu Palembang, while secondary data is community. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The author uses the living Qur'an method, how the Qur'an is understood, practiced, read in life.The result of this research is the commandment of shalawat in the Qur'an, namely in QS. Al-Ahzab verse 56 which explains that Allah SWT commands His servants to always pray to the Prophet Muhammad. Realization of the reading of Maulid Simtud Duror with QS. Al-Ahzab verse 56 at Pondok Pesantren Ar Riyadh 13 Ulu Palembang, is a reading practice that is carried out weekly, monthly, and annually carried out in congregation. The function of reading it in daily life is as proof of love for the Prophet, hoping for blessings, gaining knowledge, a place to establish friendship, helping each other, and also getting sustenance.
