Abstract
Abstarct This article discusses tawasul and the tradition of pilgrimage at the tomb of Kiai Marogan in Palembang. This type of research is a field research. The type of data used is qualitative with a living hadith study. The subject of this research is caretaker administratators and the people who make pilgrimages to the tomb of Kiai Marogan. Dat collection techniques using observation by observing and playing attention to the implementation of tawasul and pilgrimage traditions that occurred at Kiai Marogan’s tomb. While interview data researchers interviewed 30 performers of tawasul and pilgrimages at Kiai Marogan’s tomb as respondents while documentation was equipped with photographs of related books with research. The study finds that the implementation of tawasul and the pilgrimage tradition at the tomb of Kiai Marogan is a study of living hadith in practical studies, as well as the legal basis regarding tawasul to pious people who have died are also contained in a at-Thabrani Number 189 (hadith of the Rasulullah relying on the Prophets before him) and Ibnu Majah number 1380 (hadith of a bling man relying on Rasulullah SAW).
