Abstract

ABSTRAK Kecamatan Sako Palembang terdapat sekitar 67 masjid, masjid yang telah dikumpulkan untuk membentuk UPZ di Kecamatan Sako hanya sekitar 33%, sedangkan masjid yang belum membentuk masjid sekitar 67%. Berdasarkan hal ini menunjukan minimnya masjid yang sudah membentuk UPZ di bandingkan masjid yang belum membentuk UPZ di Kecamatan Sako Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini : (1) Data Primer, yaitu data yang didapat dari sumber pertama baik dari individu atau perseorangan seperti dari hasil wawancara atau hasil observasi yang dilakukan di Kantor BAZNAS Kota Palembang dan beberapa masjid di Kecamatan Sako Kota Palembang, (2) Data sekunder, yaitu data yang tidak langsung memberikan data kepada peneliti, misalnya peneliti harus melalui orrang lain atau mencari melalui dokumen. Data ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan studi literature yang dilakukan terhadap banyak buku dan diperoleh berdasarkan catatan-catatan yang berhubungan dengan penelitian menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari internet Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Tantangan BAZNAS dalam pembentukan UPZ yaitu masalah pemahaman masyarakat yang belum sepenuhnya mengetahui keberadaan, fungsi dan tata kerja baik BAZNAS maupun UPZ, masalah persepsi yaitu kurangnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap pemerintah atau badan yang mengurusi dana zakat, dan yang terakhir Kurangnya sosialisasi untuk mengedukasi masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat yang dikategorikan “awam”. Dan Peluang BAZNAS dalam pembentukan UPZ yaitu Tidak ada cara lain selain pemerintah berani mengambil terobosan untuk mengoptimalkan sosialisasi dan edukasi. Sehingga pihak Baznas dapat mengedukasi pemahaman masyarakat yang masih lemah, dan dapat mengadakan program-program pemberdayaan dan pembinaan para calon amil zakat. Based on this, it shows the lack of mosques that have formed an UPZ compared to mosques that have not yet formed an UPZ in Sako District, Palembang City. This research authors used qualitative descriptive research method. The data used in this study: (1) Primary data, namely data obtained from the first source either from individuals or individuals such as from the results of interviews or the results of observations made at the Palembang City BAZNAS Office and several mosques in Sako District, Palembang City, (2 ) Secondary data, namely data that does not directly provide data to researchers, for example researchers have to go through other people or search through documents. This data was obtained using a literature study conducted on many books and obtained based on records related to research using data obtained from the internet. The results of this study can be concluded that the challenge of BAZNAS in the formation of UPZ is the problem of understanding the community who do not fully know the existence, functions and work procedures of both BAZNAS and UPZ, the problem of perception is the lack of public trust in the government or the agency in charge of zakat funds, and finally the lack of outreach to educate the community, especially people who are categorized as "layman". And the opportunity for BAZNAS in forming UPZ is that there is no other way than for the government to dare to take a breakthrough to optimize outreach and education. So that Baznas can educate people's understanding that is still weak, and can organize empowerment and coaching programs for amil zakat candidates. Keywords: Challenges, Opportunities, BAZNAS, UPZ
