Abstract
Learning media holds an important position in learning activities because it becomes an information medium for channeling teacher knowledge to students. Therefore, biotechnology material is very suitable for use in developing infographic learning media, because most biotechnology material is concrete material that should be presented in visual media. The utilization of biotechnology material, especially conventional in the field of medicine, is to prevent a problem, treat various diseases, one of which is the use of herbal plants in biotechnology to be developed into a product such as anti-hair lice shampoo. This study aims to produce infographic media on valid class XII SMA / MA biotechnology material, and to determine the characteristics of anti-hair lice shampoo (Pediculus humanus capitis) from Betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.). The population in this study were betel plants found in Tanjung Lubuk sub�district, OKI district, South Sumatra province. The sample in this study was betel leaf. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. This type of research is descriptive quantitative using experimental methods with organoleptic tests. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive methods with a Likert scale. The recapitulation of infographic learning media by experts in the fields of material, media and language shows that the media has a very high level of validity, with an average of 93.52% from material expert validators (91.11%), media expert validators (95%) and language expert validators (93.33%). Therefore, this media can be tested in the field to evaluate its practicality. Characteristics of anti-hair lice shampoo from betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) Based on the results of the characteristics test, it shows that the organoleptic for the aroma obtained a distinctive smell of green betel leaves, a thick form and has a blackish green color, has good homogeneity, pH 7.7 to 6.9, foam height 15.3 cm to 17.5 cm, and has a viscosity of 909.29 cP 723.80 cP 1422.41 cP 2001.05 cP. A good concentration of shampoo preparation with a concentration of 7% has met the requirements as a good shampoo to use and has met the SNI rules.
